The Government Digital Service (GDS) is recruiting for a number of roles within the GOV.UK Verify programme. We are looking for talented, enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are excited by the challenge of designing a cross-government digital service.

About us

GOV.UK Verify is the new way to prove who you are online. Digital transformation is at the heart of the government agenda, and GOV.UK Verify is leading the way as a cross-government platform that allows people to access their government records and services on GOV.UK securely and safely, without having to use postal or face-to-face services.

The service is being delivered in a new way for the first time anywhere in the world. Rather than government seeking to verify individuals’ identity online and manage their login credentials, we are using a range of certified companies which users can choose from.

GOV.UK Verify went live in May 2016 and is being used to support 12 government services with a range of certified companies on board. Many people will be able to identify themselves to government services entirely digitally, in about 15 minutes. Over time, this proportion will grow as we continue to develop and expand the service. We need good people to help make this happen.

The GOV.UK Verify team sits within GDS and is made up of more than 70 highly skilled digital professionals based at Aviation House, Holborn. We work in an agile team of developers, designers, user researchers, analysts, policy experts and engagement specialists.
